What are Electronic Cross-Border Health Services?

Electronic Cross-Border Health Services are digital services that enable the secure exchange of health information between European Union member states. They ensure that citizens receive better and safer healthcare when temporarily residing or traveling in another EU country.

These services operate through the European infrastructure MyHealth@EU and ensure that health information is exchanged in a secure, interoperable, and standardized manner—always in accordance with applicable legislation and with the patient's consent, where required.
